Animation Reel (2026)
Madison Ostrowski is a stop-motion and 2D animator, VisDev artist and sound engineer. They combine textiles with animation and sound to create fantastical and colorful works that delight the senses. Each animated project is a puzzle in bringing physicality into a digital workspace. Crochet, sewing and sculpting are married to create characters that come to life. Madison’s goal is to make whimsical artworks that innovate on the animation pipeline and inspire others to embrace craft as a meaningful form of art.
Madison has experience working in ToomBoom Harmony, Photoshop, DragonFrame and ProTools alongside an abundance of craft-based skills including stop-motion fabrication and puppet building. They’ve had multiple films featured in film festivals like the Maine College of Art and Design Film Festival and the Couch Film Festival. Madison’s thesis film The Missing Ingredient won Best Multimedia Film and Best Design at the 2026 Maine College of Art and Design Film Festival. Her collaborative films Phös and Tiny Wizard: Portal Pandemonium won Best in Show and Best Multimedia Film as well as Audience Choice at the 2025 Maine College of Art and Design Film Festival respectively. Additionally, Phös was nominated for Best Student Film Under Five Minutes at the 2025 Couch Film Festival and selected to participate in the 2025 World Wave Music Festival. Madison has completed work for the Maine Children’s Museum creating soundscapes for collaborative projects and fabricated a puppet for the Maine Maritime Museum to use for children’s story times.
